Our philosophy

Where authenticity meets transformation.

I’m Sam, and my mission is to empower you through the pivotal transitions of life and change. Together, we’ll embark on a journey toward a purposeful, fulfilling life, breaking cycles, integrating your mind, body, and spirit and connecting deeper with nature as co-therapist. Here, we dive deep into the essence of living authentically, embracing every part of your journey with an open heart, the sky above us, and the earth below to hold us.

How are my containers different?

Real, unfiltered guidance is what I offer—a judgment-free space where authenticity is celebrated. My sessions offer something special. Blending my training in psychotherapy, meditation, yoga, spirituality, and holistic life mentorship, we create a powerful space for growth and healing that’s really about you and your journey.

I’m all about setting a high standard of care for my clients. It’s important to me to not just talk about change but to live it, showing the real power of what we can achieve together.

Not to brag but I bring a level of dedication, consistency, and energy to our one-on-one sessions that’s hard to match. It’s personalized support that really gets down to the nitty-gritty of what you need.

We dive deep in our work, tailoring each session to fit exactly what you need.

But what we’re doing is more than just sharing tips and techniques; it’s about a journey of empowerment. Throughout our time together, you’ll not only learn valuable life skills and tools but also experience real growth and support. I’m here as more than a mentor or therapist; I’m a solid supporter and partner in your path to discovering a deeper and more authentic you.

Individual Therapy:

Welcome to a Space for the Whole Self.

I offer a warm, relational, and body-aware approach to psychotherapy that honors the full landscape of your experience: mind, body, heart, and spirit. Together, we slow down, listen inward, and gently untangle the patterns keeping you stuck so you can move toward a life that feels more grounded, meaningful, and true.

My work blends evidence-based therapy with somatic awareness, contemplative practices, and nature-informed wisdom. This approach is especially supportive for sensitive, thoughtful, and deeply feeling people navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, relationship patterns, burnout, or the quiet sense of being “behind” in life.

Online sessions are available for adults located in New Jersey. I offer sessions outdoors as part of my ecotherapy offering.

Please contact me if you are outside of New Jersey. We can do a coaching model if it’s a good fit.

A low pressure space to connect, talk through what’s going on, and see if we feel like a good fit. No need to overprepare.

    Before your first session
If we move forward, you’ll receive access to a secure client portal to complete intake forms, consent paperwork, and payment details.

    First session (75 minutes)
We slow things down and explore your history, what you’re navigating, and what you’re hoping for in therapy.

    Ongoing sessions (60 minutes)
Sessions are tailored to you. Some may be more reflective, some more skills based, and some just about being real about what’s going on beneath the surface.

    Where sessions happen
All sessions are virtual through a secure, HIPAA compliant platform. Nature based sessions may also be incorporated when it feels supportive.

  • Using insurance
As of March 2026, I am accepting new clients with Aetna insurance. If you plan to use insurance, I work with Aetna through Headway, a secure platform that manages billing and verifies your benefits. Headway handles the administrative side so I can stay focused on our work together. Before starting, they will provide a clear estimate of your copay, coinsurance, or deductible.

    Self pay options
If you prefer not to use insurance, self pay sessions are available.

    Session rates: 50 minutes / $200

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots when available, and I’m happy to talk through options if cost feels like a barrier.

    Payment methods
I accept all major credit cards, Zelle, and Stripe. If you choose to use Stripe, an additional 5 dollar processing fee will be added.

    Out of network reimbursement
Depending on your insurance plan, you may be eligible for out of network reimbursement. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company. You can also check your out of network benefits here: https://eligibility.thrizer.com/samseigermanlcsw

Ecotherapy:

Therapy in Relationship with the Living World

Ecotherapy is therapy that unfolds in relationship with the living world around us. We meet outdoors in safe, accessible natural spaces. These can be through gentle walk-and-talk sessions, quiet sitting, or simply breathing together in the open air and allow the rhythms of nature to support emotional processing, nervous-system regulation, and deeper self-understanding. Over time, part of the work may include slowly getting to know the land itself: noticing seasons, textures, sounds, and the sense of grounding that can emerge through consistent relationship with place.

Sessions may gently weave together somatic awareness, mindfulness and meditation, reflective conversation, creative expression through simple nature-based art, and meaningful rituals that honor transitions, grief, intention, and renewal. I integrate relational, trauma-informed care with contemplative and earth-centered practices so healing can move at a pace your body can trust. Rather than forcing change, we create space for clarity, connection, and a felt sense of belonging to emerge within yourself, with others, and with the natural world.

Group offerings coming in the spring + summer

  • Beginning our work together
Ecotherapy begins with intention and care. Before meeting outdoors, we first connect through an initial 75 minute virtual intake session. During this time, we complete a thoughtful assessment, explore your history and current needs, and identify the themes or intentions you would like to carry into our work together. We also begin to explore what approaches feel most supportive for you, whether that includes walk and talk, quiet sitting, somatic awareness, reflective conversation, creative expression, artwork, or simple nature based rituals.

If it feels supportive, we may choose to have an additional virtual session to further build safety and connection before transitioning outdoors. This preparation helps ensure that our time in nature feels grounded, supported, and meaningful from the very beginning.

*Paperwork, including liability waivers will be sent prior to meeting outside.

    Session structure
Ecotherapy sessions are typically 60 minutes in length, allowing space to slow down, settle the nervous system, and engage with the environment without rushing. Extended sessions are available but are not covered by insurance. Please see the payment section for more information.

    Outdoor sessions
We typically meet in calm, accessible outdoor locations in New Jersey, and we will choose a location together based on what feels most comfortable and supportive for you.

At the beginning of each session, I will guide us in a brief moment of arriving, which may include grounding, breathwork, or a short meditation. From there, we may move into walk and talk, quiet sitting, somatic awareness, reflective conversation, creative expression, artwork, or simple nature based rituals.

Some sessions are more conversational, while others invite stillness, silence, or deeper embodied awareness. Nature becomes part of the process, offering reflection, support, and a sense of connection beyond the self.

    Pacing and flexibility
The pace is collaborative and shaped by your comfort. You are never required to share more than feels right.

We will also discuss privacy and its limitations in outdoor settings so you feel informed and supported. We can shift between outdoor and telehealth sessions at any time depending on weather, safety, or emotional needs.

    What this work can support
Over time, many clients begin to notice:

    • greater nervous system regulation and emotional steadiness

    • clearer insight into patterns, relationships, and life transitions

    • a deepened sense of belonging within themselves and as part of the natural world

    • more space for grief, healing, meaning, and renewal

  • In-network therapy (Aetna, New Jersey residents only)
For new clients using Aetna insurance, 60 minute ecotherapy sessions are available in network for New Jersey residents. Meaningful, steady therapeutic work can absolutely unfold within this structure, and many clients find this rhythm supportive for ongoing growth and care.

For those with stable income who can pay the full fee.

    • $175 — Mid Tier

You’re invited to choose the rate that feels honest and sustainable for you. Lower-fee options may be available on a limited basis.

    Extended ecotherapy sessions
For those who feel called toward more spacious, immersive, or intensive work, extended ecotherapy sessions are available on an out of network or self pay basis. These longer sessions create additional room to slow down, settle the nervous system, connect with the natural environment, and move more deeply through the therapeutic process.

Psychedelic Integration:

Amplify and transform altered experiences into profound healing. Choose the path of psychedelic support and integration.

Discover the potent wisdom of psychedelic integration, rooted in ancient traditions and adapted for modern healing. We honor the rich, worldwide tapestry of indigenous practices and traditions surrounding alternative states of consciousness, and provide a safe haven for exploration and growth. Through trauma-informed practices, you are guided to harness the therapeutic potential of psychedelics, addressing issues ranging from trauma to depression to addiction with reverence and care.

My approach emphasizes a non-judgmental space for preparation, integration, self-care and autonomous decision making. Despite legal restrictions, acknowledging the inherent power of these substances, I stand by individuals’ autonomy in their choices. In line with this, I offer Psychedelic Preparation and Integration therapy both in-person and online, providing a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals to navigate their psychedelic experiences. This therapy encompasses trauma informed education, somatic tools, safety, intention setting, self-care practices, exploration of insights, and support in processing challenging material that may arise during journeys.

— Please reach out further to inquire pricing.

— Each session is 75-90 minutes

— The initial portion will focus on preparation, the latter on integration.

— To be very clear, I do not at any point or for any reason accompany individuals during their psychedelic experiences, nor do I procure any substances. Our therapeutic sessions do not involve the consumption of psychoactive, plant medicine, or illicit substances. Rather, my emphasis lies in providing support both before and after journeys to facilitate lasting, meaningful transformation.
